Maki Somosot writes about overlooked and marginalized communities in America, with a focus on diversity, race, and class. She's lived and worked in the Deep South, the Northeast, and is currently based in Ohio where she works for the Ohio Organizing Collaborative as their communications and narrative director. Born and raised in Manila, she also writes about Filipino and Filipino American communities in the diaspora.
